Today’s blog post is brought to you by the cold hard truth. I wish I was able to write a “Five Tricks To Making Any Change Simple And Effortless” blog post but the truth is- change is freaking hard and it can feel awful....for a while anyway...until one day it doesn’t and just like a butterfly, you emerge from your cocoon ready to fly.
I love the concept of the 🐛➡️ 🦋
What a perfect description of what it takes to make the changes necessary to become who you were meant to be. The caterpillar literally dissolves and melts into goo and breaks itself down before growing into a new version of itself until it’s finally just too cramped in the cocoon and busts through with those incredibly beautiful bright colorful wings which allows it to go from crawling on its belly to soaring in the air.
Listen to me right now

Once you make your mind up its going to take hard work like you’ve never experienced to go from belly crawling along in life to flying. It’s going to be uncomfortable and it’s going to suck. You’re going to have to dissolve the current you and rebuild the you that you want to be. Think that doesn’t take work?
It’s the hardest work you’ll ever do but I promise you- it’s the most important work that you’ll ever do because on the other side of the uncomfortableness...on the other side of the work is a world that you will be able to look at from a new perspective....a life that allows you to use your wings and a knowing inside that YOU did that. You made that change and all of the hard work, tears, frustration and bumps in the road lead you to exactly where you are supposed to be.
I just want you to all know this....it’s SO possible to start making these changes right now that it’s not even funny. Please don’t be afraid of the work and don’t dread being uncomfortable. It’s supposed to be these things. It’s completely normal. Once you are aware of the work and expecting to feel uncomfortable you’ll know that when you start to feel it, it means it’s working. Let that motivate you to keep going.
You’re on your way! You are making the decision to fly instead of crawl and friend- it’s a beautiful view from up there and I can’t wait to see what you do with your new wings 🦋
