Come On In...Only If You Feel Good

First, a little side note-I just want to say, if you need someone, I’m here. You can direct message me and I will help you as much as I possibly can. You are not alone.

I’ve been thinking about how certain things make me feel good and certain things make me feel anxious, sad and afraid and leave me hollow. I think during these trying times it’s important to 𝒪𝓃𝓁𝓎 allow what makes you feel “good” in.

Food, people, media, information. If it makes you feel like crap then get rid of it. In a time where we feel out of control, you still have control of what you allow.

For me- I have decided that energy that sucks me dry will no longer be allowed anywhere near me. Food that seems comforting but keeps me awake with a stomachache will no longer be consumed. I will no longer engage in media or social media that terrifies me- only the things that educate me will be allowed. People who I once thought were friends but continue to make me feel bad are no longer allowed to be a part of my world.

These are just some of the things that I have decided. Yours might look totally different. As long as you are strict about 𝒪𝓃𝓁𝓎 allowing what makes you feel good in, you’re on the right track.

But what if you’re stuck in a situation that makes you feel bad and because of the pandemic you can’t make a change right now? I’m here to tell you that you can. Make the plans. Create the goals. Use this time to map out a new life for yourself and when it’s to go time and we are all released back into the wild you will be ready. Start that gym membership, leave that toxic relationship. Make the changes that you’ve always wanted to make by planning now.

One last thing- don’t confuse what makes you feel good 𝒯𝑒𝓂𝓅𝑜𝓇𝒶𝓇𝒾𝓁𝓎 with what makes you feel good in the long run. Yes, that cookie, that old boyfriend, that friend who you are chasing might make you feel good for a moment- but if it easily turns into guilt, regret and shame then drop it like it’s hot. Ain’t nobody got time for that.

Only good. Everyday. Got it?

Be well friends. Get ahold of me if you need to. Take care of yourself and protect that energy!
