Who Lives In A Pineapple Under The Sea....

Today’s blog post is a little twisty (who else immediately thought of a soft serve twist cone while reading that....just me? 🤣🍦)

I would usually encourage you to protect your energy from those who take and take and never give back to you but what if we look at it from

the other perspective 🤭

What if we take a good look at who is constantly pouring into us and whether or not we are pouring back in or just soaking it up like a sponge...because here’s the thing...if someone is pouring and pouring and pouring into you- eventually they are gonna run dry and you might not even see it coming.

This sponge soaking can occur in any type of relationship- romantic, friendships, family, work.....anything that involves more than one person.

Maybe you have a friend who has really gone out on a limb to keep your friendship alive and you feel too overwhelmed or busy to try too reciprocate. A co-worker who goes above and beyond and you’re a little spoiled by their willingness to always pick up the slack. Grandparents who show up for everything and bake you all of the things but your just so.damn.busy and it’s hard to take the time to stop by.....

Don’t be a sponge. Don’t soak all of that in and never squeeze yourself out to water someone else’s wilting leaves. Give and take my loves. Give and take.

It’s ok to soak up the love as long as you give more than you take 💕
